Best Ground Cover for Blueberry Farms
Blueberry farms need strong weed control, but blueberries also have shallow roots and specific moisture requirements. For this reason, the best ground cover is not simply the heaviest fabric available. It must control weeds while allowing the farm to manage water, temperature and root health.
Many growers start with woven PE or PP ground cover in aisles, container areas or between rows before covering full beds. This allows the farm to test drainage, irrigation and summer heat behavior.
