PE-Shell Greenhouse Insulation Quilt
Factory-direct multilayer greenhouse insulation quilts, also called greenhouse thermal blankets, greenhouse insulation blankets or winter greenhouse covers. Made with a PE woven outer shell and a customizable thermal core for heat retention, moisture protection and repeated roll-up operation, with width, weight, core and reinforcement customized to your greenhouse system.
*Up to 8–10 years is a reference value for suitable configurations and normal maintenance; actual service life depends on UV package, climate, installation, rolling operation, cleaning and storage conditions.
Product Features for Cold-Climate Greenhouses
The quilt is not sold as a single universal weight. The PE woven shell, thermal core, finished width and reinforcement are specified around the climate, greenhouse span and roll-up system.
Water-Resistant PE Shell
Hydrophobic PE woven fabric helps prevent the insulation core from absorbing water, rotting or freezing in winter.
UV & Weather Resistance
Virgin PE with anti-aging and UV shielding additives; selected products can be specified with up to 6% UV additive.
Custom Thermal Core
Synthetic fiber cotton and other insulation-core options can be selected around climate, weight, flexibility and budget.
Resilient After Rolling
Loose porous fibers trap air for insulation and recover loft after repeated rolling and compression.
2–8 m Custom Width
Common project widths are customized, with manufacturing capability up to 8 m where the greenhouse design requires it.

PE + Custom Thermal Core Multilayer Structure
The standard recommendation is a symmetric or multilayer “waterproof layer + insulation layer + waterproof layer” structure, combined by quilting or thermal bonding according to the project requirement.
Outer Layer — PE Woven Fabric
High-quality virgin polyethylene woven fabric with anti-aging and UV shielding additives, specified for water resistance, tensile strength and outdoor weather exposure.
Core — Custom Thermal Insulation
Industrial synthetic fiber cotton is a mainstream option, and other insulation-core materials can be selected by climate, finished weight, roll diameter, flexibility and budget.
Composite & Reinforcement
Quilted or thermally bonded construction, with customized seams, edges and reinforcement for repeated rolling, wind exposure and roll-up equipment.
Material Details
These are the recommended product directions for the website page. Final specifications should still be confirmed by sample, test data and quotation.
Outer Layer — PE Woven Fabric
Made from high-quality virgin PE, with anti-aging and UV shielding additives. Selected products can be specified with up to 6% UV additive.
- Water and moisture resistance: helps avoid water entering the insulation core, reducing rot risk and winter icing.
- Weather resistance: tested configurations can retain more than 85% transverse and longitudinal tensile strength after 1200 hours of UV exposure.
- Low-temperature flexibility: selected PE shell remains flexible at -50°C without becoming brittle, cracked or hardened.
- Roll-up strength: dense woven structure supports repeated mechanical rolling and pulling.
- Greenhouse film friendly: PE material is compatible with PE greenhouse film and helps avoid chemical reaction or film pollution.
Inside — Industrial Synthetic Fiber Cotton
Made from polyester, polypropylene or similar synthetic fiber and formed into quilt-like insulation sheets by spray-bonded or needle-punched process.
- High loft: porous fiber structure traps air and supports thermal insulation.
- Good resilience: recovers after repeated rolling and compression to maintain stable insulation performance.
- Lightweight: reduces load on the greenhouse frame and roll-up machine.
- Cost-effective: a mainstream core material choice for greenhouse insulation quilts.
- Moisture resistant: synthetic fiber does not absorb water easily and works with the PE shell to reduce performance loss caused by moisture.
Custom Product Specifications
There is no universal best weight. Confirm the blanket as a complete structure instead of comparing only face fabric or total mass.

| Reference Service Life | Up to 8–10 years under suitable product configuration, normal operating environment and proper maintenance |
The stated up to 8–10 year service life is a reference value under standard use and normal maintenance. Actual service life can vary with local UV intensity, climate, temperature, humidity, wind, snow load, rolling frequency, operation quality, sharp-object abrasion, cleaning, drying before storage, storage conditions, extreme weather and accidental damage.
- Buyers should evaluate the product according to local climate conditions and actual operating habits.
- The seller is not responsible for service-life differences caused by variables outside the agreed warranty scope.
- Regular inspection is recommended. Repair or replace the quilt if the outer layer is damaged or the inner core has shifted or clumped.
